Gujrat / Constable in Ahmedabad ends life with wife and a minor child

Ahmedabad | A police constable, his wife and their minor daughter committed suicide by jumping off the twelfth floor of a building in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Police Inspector NR Vaghela said that the incident happened around 1.30 am on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as constable Kuldeep Singh Yadav posted at Vastrapur police station, his wife Riddhi and their two and a half year old daughter Sola.

People living in the society told that first Riddhi jumped, after that Kuldeep jumped from the 12th floor along with his daughter.

Police said that there is a gap of barely 10 seconds between the falls. The FSL report also revealed that no one pushed anyone. As per the investigation so far, it is a case of suicide and we are trying to find out the reasons for taking such step.

Remembering the days spent with parents, friends in the note

In a long message sent from his mobile number to his friends and colleagues on WhatsApp, Kuldeep recalled the old days and times he spent with his friends and his parents. He had not left any other written note anywhere in his house.

Inspector Vaghela of Sola police said that the phone details of the deceased are yet to be verified and only then they can verify whether any such note was sent or not. At the end of the note, Kuldeep said that he would be happy to see that his colleagues get the benefit of grade pay.

About three weeks ago, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had approved an annual corpus of Rs 550 crore for salary hikes of state police personnel following his protest over the issue. After the post-mortem, the bodies will be handed over to the family in their native village Bhavnagar district for the last rites.
