Himachal Pradesh News: Heavy rains have caused devastation in Himachal Pradesh. In the last four days, 74 people have died due to rain-floods and landslides in the state, while thousands of people have been rescued. The state government has suffered a loss of more than 7700 crores due to the rains. There is a constant threat of landslides on Shimla. Many districts of the state are badly affected by heavy rains and landslides.

The NDRF team is constantly ready in the landslide areas. She is engaged in relief and rescue work. Let us inform that if we talk from June till now, more than 330 people have died due to natural calamities in the state.

Yellow alert for rain in 10 districts

Let us tell you that it has been raining continuously in Himachal Pradesh for the last few days, due to which the incidents of landslides have increased a lot. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has told that from today, there may be heavy to very heavy rains in the state for the next three days. For this, IMD has issued a yellow alert for 10 districts of Himachal. Let us inform that 65 houses collapsed and 271 were damaged in Himachal on Friday. 875 roads are closed. There is power failure in many villages.

Danger like 'Joshimath' in Himachal

Joshimath-like danger is also looming in Himachal Pradesh. There is a danger of landslides at 17 thousand places in the state. Out of this, 1357 places are present in Shimla only. In heavy rains, the soil is continuously swelling, due to which roads and houses have started sinking. In the month of January this year, people had to be rendered homeless due to cracks in houses, roads and hotels in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. Till now people are living in relief caps as refugees. Illegal construction in Joshmeeth was also said to be responsible for this.

21 killed in landslide in Shimla

Many districts of the state are affected by heavy rains and landslides. But a big danger is hanging over Shimla. In Shimla itself, 21 people died due to landslide. 14 bodies have been recovered from Summer Hill, 5 from Fagli and 2 from Krishna Nagar. There is still a possibility of some people being buried under the debris of the Shiva temple.
