Gujarat Election 2022 : Voting for the second phase for the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022 also ended at 5 pm today. In this phase of elections, voting started at 8 am on Monday for 93 seats in 14 districts. According to the figures till 5 pm, 58.38% votes were cast. However, the final percentage is yet to come. Because, the entry in the polling booths has been closed, but the voting of the people present inside the campus is going on.


Talking about the average, the highest turnout of 63.23% was recorded in Sabarkantha and the lowest was recorded in Ahmedabad at 55.67%. In the second phase, about 2.5 crore voters have decided the fate of 833 candidates. Like the first phase, in the second phase too, the percentage of voting has been higher in rural areas than in cities.


Heeraba reached the booth in a wheelchair

PM Narendra Modi's mother Heeraba reached the polling booth in a wheelchair for voting. For senior citizens above 80 years and unwell, the facility of voting from home was given. Despite this, Hiraba, who has turned 100 herself, reached the booth and voted and gave a message to those people who do not go to vote due to laziness.


PM waited for his turn in the booth

PM Modi cast his vote at a polling booth in Ranip area of Ahmedabad. When the PM reached Ranip to vote, he was welcomed with drums and drums. At the same time, a woman was standing near the ballot box in the polling booth, so she also waited for her turn. After voting, the PM came out and showed the ink mark. During this, slogans of Modi-Modi started echoing all around.

  • PM Modi tweeted and appealed to the people of Gujarat to vote in large numbers.
  • Delhi CM Kejriwal tweeted – This is the election of Gujarat's new hopes and aspirations.
  • Home Minister Amit Shah remained present in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Here he attended a meeting with Prime Minister Modi at the Gujarat BJP office 'Kamalam'.
