Scientists from the School of Basic Sciences, IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, have identified the molecular structure that makes the corona virus contagious, which has become a headache for the world. This research will help in making more effective medicine for the end of corona epidemic in future. The research has been published in the international journal Virology. It has been claimed that the findings of this research will prove to be a milestone in making a drug especially for eradicating this molecular structure. In this way the corona can be eradicated from the root.

Dr. Rajneesh Giri, Associate Professor in the School of Basic Sciences, Head of Research, IIT Mandi, said that the study was carried out in the laboratory to understand the molecular structure of the endodomain spike protein. During the study, the molecular structure that made the corona virus infectious was discovered. Research has found that its molecular structure is not rigid, but very flexible. PhD scholar Prateek Kumar, who collaborated on this research, said that this will make it easier to understand the basic science of infection of Kovid-19 and other corona viruses.

Decreasing corona cases

In Himachal Pradesh including the country, the cases of corona are decreasing very rapidly. The reason for this is also believed to be the increasing scope of vaccination. At present, there are 91 active cases of corona in the state. Corona active cases across the country have come down to 13000 for the first time in two years.
