WTC Final: The final match of the second edition of the World Test Championship between India and Australia will be played at the Kennington Oval in London from June 7. Team India has suffered two major setbacks before this. Where Jasprit Bumrah is already out of the team, now the team may get a big blow in the form of middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer. Iyer has now been ruled out of the entire IPL 2023 season and the final of the World Test Championship, according to information provided by PTI/language on Tuesday quoting a BCCI source. According to the information, Iyer has decided to go abroad and get the surgery done. In such a situation, now a big problem has arisen in front of Team India.

The Indian team will take the field without three of its key Test players. Rishabh Pant is injured after the accident, while Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer are struggling with their back problems. Bumrah's surgery has been done so Iyer will go for operation now. In such a situation, the biggest question is who will replace Iyer? However, recently Suryakumar Yadav was included in the Test squad against Australia. He also played the first Test of the series in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. But apart from T20, his bat did not work in both ODIs and Tests. In such a situation, he has proved to be a failure in place of Iyer. So one such name is coming in everyone's mind, which probably everyone had considered the end of his career.

Will become a big weapon for Team India!

Actually we are talking about Hanuma Vihari who has not played a single Test since the tour of England last year. Earlier, he was a regular part of the Test team under the leadership of Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri. But under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, perhaps the team management's faith in him has decreased. But it should not be forgotten that this is the same Hanuma Vihari who saved the Test match for India in Border Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 despite being injured. He has experience of playing Australia's pace attack. Vihari went on a tour of Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21 and played a key role in India's victory both times. He has a lot of experience of playing players like Pat Cumminsh, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc. In such a situation, he can prove to be a big weapon of Team India.

Talking about Hanuma Vihari, apart from being a proper batsman in Test cricket, he is also a part-time bowler. He has played a total of 16 Test matches for India. He has 839 runs including one century and five half-centuries. At the same time, he has also taken five wickets. However, his recent performance has not been anything special. He scored runs in Ranji Trophy 2022-23 but failed to play long innings. Here too, despite being injured, he made headlines when he came out to bat with one hand. Now it has to be seen whether the selectors will become a support in the sinking career of this fighting player or they will show faith only on Suryakumar Yadav.
