Parliament Session: 146 opposition MPs have been suspended from Parliament, due to which there is a lot of resentment among the opposition parties. Meanwhile, talks are going to take place between Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. For this, the Vice President has written a letter to Kharge and invited him to his residence on 25th December. During this, the suspension of MPs will be discussed.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar says that he had requested several times, but the meeting could not be held due to the winter session. In his letter, the Vice President has said that the ruckus created by the opposition parties in the House and the disruption in the proceedings was done thoughtfully as part of a complete strategy. In which the role of the main opposition party is important. He said that I do not want to embarrass you, but if we meet you then we will definitely discuss this matter.

Dhankad invited Kharge

Along with this, Vice President Dhankhar has said in the letter written to Kharge that we need to move forward. He said that you are invited to your residence for talks on 25th December or whenever you get time, as per your convenience.

Let us tell you that earlier on December 22, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had written a letter to Vice President Dhankhar. In response to which Dhankhar has written. In which he has said that many times he tried to negotiate, sometimes inside the House and sometimes by writing letters, but every time the attempt failed.

‘There was deliberate disruption in the House’

Along with this, Dhankhar has also mentioned the suspended MPs. He has written that the suspension of the opposition leaders was due to sloganeering inside the House, waving of placards, attempts to enter the well and bad behavior. The leaders deliberately disrupted the proceedings of the House, due to which they have been suspended. He said that before suspending the House, he made every effort to run the House peacefully, adjourned the House several times during the uproar, and even tried to call the MPs to his chamber and talk to them but to no avail.

‘I am saddened by the suspension of MPs’

It is noteworthy that on Friday, Congress President Kharge had written a letter to Vice President Dhankhar, in which he had said that suspension of MPs on such a large scale is harmful to the basic principles of parliamentary democracy, he is deeply hurt and saddened by the suspension of MPs.

Let us tell you that the Rajya Sabha has been adjourned indefinitely on Thursday, a day before the scheduled conclusion of the winter session of Parliament. During this session, 46 MPs were suspended from Rajya Sabha for disrupting the proceedings of the House and behaving inappropriately.
