Cloudburst Himachal / Heavy devastation in Himachals Manikaran due to cloudburst flood-like situation

Cloudburst Himachal: In Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, rain came as havoc on Wednesday and one person died in flash floods caused by cloudburst, while 6 people are feared to have been swept away in the accident. A senior official of the state disaster management department said rescue teams have been dispatched to the spot, but they were stuck mid-way due to a landslide.

Due to heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh, the problems of the people have increased. There has been news of devastation due to cloudburst in Manikarna Valley of Kullu. A camping site was washed away by floods following a cloudburst. Four people are missing. Kullu's ADM Prashans Sarkai has confirmed this. Cloud burst in Choj village of Manikarn Valley. Four people were washed away due to the flood in the local drain. People have informed Prashanas about this. Several houses have also come under water and the bridge leading to the village has been damaged.

It has been raining heavily in Kullu since Thursday night. Road debris has come near Kasol amid the rain. It is being told that there has been heavy damage to the dam site in Malana. Earlier, the Meteorological Department in Himachal had issued an orange alert for Wednesday.
