Iran-Israel Conflict / India appeals for peace and restraint from both countries on Iran-Israel tension

Iran-Israel Conflict: After increasing tension between Iran and Israel, India's reaction has also come to the fore. The Indian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement appealing to both the countries to exercise restraint. We are deeply concerned by the growing hostility between Israel and Iran. This has posed a threat to peace and security in the area. We call for immediate de-escalation, restraint, and a return to the path of diplomacy.

The Foreign Ministry said in its statement that we are closely monitoring the situation. Our embassies in the region are in touch with the Indian community. It is important that security and stability is maintained in the region.

We are seriously concerned at the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran which threatens the peace and security in the region. We call for immediate de-escalation, exercise of restraint, stepping back from violence and return to the path of diplomacy: MEA
