Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election: BJP has released the list of 62 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Himachal Pradesh. CM Jairam Thakur will contest from Seraj and Anil Sharma will contest from Mandi. On the other hand, Satpal Singh Satti has been made a candidate from Una. The elections are to be held on November 12.

Congress has also released list of 46 candidates

Assembly elections are near in Himachal Pradesh. In such a situation, Congress has also made its list of 46 candidates public. There are many strong leaders in this list. Like Asha Kumari has been nominated from Dal House, Asha Kumari was in charge of Congress in Punjab. At the same time, the name of Vikramaditya Singh is also included in this list. Vikramaditya will contest from Shimla Rural seat. Let us tell you that Vikramaditya is the son of Himachal's strong leader Virbhadra Singh.

Elections on November 12, results on December 8

As soon as the date of elections in Himachal Pradesh is announced, the model code of conduct has come into force in the entire state. The Election Commission announced in a press conference that the voting in Himachal Pradesh would be held on November 12 and the results of this election would be declared on December 8. The commission said that this time also elections will be held in one phase in Himachal Pradesh.

Nomination date from 17th to 25th October

The date for filing nominations for the Himachal Assembly elections has been fixed from October 17 to October 25 and nominations can be withdrawn till October 29. The commission informed that more than 55 lakh voters are eligible to vote for 68 assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh. In this election 1.86 lakh will vote for the first time whereas, 1.22 lakh people are in the age group of above 80.

Election officers will go home and vote

The Election Commission said in its press conference that people above 80 years of age, Divyang or Kovid positive people will get a form filled. The commission said that if such people cannot come to the polling booth, then the returning officers and personnel will go to their homes and get them voted. Voters can know about their candidate's criminal record on the KYC app. On the C Vigil app, voters can self-complain any discrepancy during the election.

Facility to add name in voter list till the day of nomination

In the press conference, the Election Commission said that in the states where assembly elections are to be held, the name can be added to the voter list till the day of nomination. The Election Commission said that special facilities will be given to the 80-year-olds and the goal will be to conduct elections peacefully. Let us tell you that in the elections held for the 68 seats of Himachal Assembly in the year 2017, BJP had won 44 out of 68 seats.
