PM Modi China Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin on Sunday morning on his first visit to China after seven years. During this visit, he will also participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. This visit is considered important in terms of giving a new direction to India-China relations.Highlights of bilateral talksPrime Minister Modi said in his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, "We had a very meaningful discussion in Kazan last year, which gave a positive direction to our relations. An atmosphere of peace and stability has been created after disengagement on the border."He further said, "An agreement has been reached between our special representatives regarding border management. Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been resumed and direct flights between the two countries are also being restored." PM Modi stressed that the interests of 2.8 billion people of both countries are linked to mutual cooperation, which will pave the way for the welfare of the entire human society.
