With Lok Sabha elections right around the corner, sarees with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP's lotus symbol are raising huge interests among Modi fans and BJP supporters.

Modi sarees became the latest addition to the BJP's one-stop shop at its party office in Rajasthan's Jaipur on Saturday.

The Modi sarees come in different designs. While one design showcases the Make in India campaign and comes with pictures of PM Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah, others have lotus and Modi imprints.

The shop, opened recently, has many other campaign items with PM Modi's pictures, like chains, pendants, lockets, brooches, clutches, stoles, helmets, coffee mugs, and bangles.

The party will unveil another line of sarees on Sunday, with pictures of army jawans and also featuring IAF air strikes with fighter jets digitally printed over them.

This comes in wake of the recent series of events leading to increased tensions between India and Pakistan.

BJP Mahila Morcha workers were particularly excited to see these Modi sarees.

BJP Mahila Morcha chief Madhu Sharma said, "The sarees look very appealing and will surely become popular among Modi fans. We shall drape these sarees in our forthcoming programmes to make an impact on people."

Optimistic of drawing more people as well as make a good business, shopkeeper Shyam Rajesh Gupta said, "we expect a large number of people to flock to our store to grab a piece of this new item."
