Udaipur. Police arrested three poor people in Gogunda police station area of ​​Udaipur in connection with the kidnapping and gang-rape of a retarded woman. The three accused are residents of Ogana area. The arrested accused include Laxman, Harish and Ramesh. Among the accused, Laxman has also been booked in the past for robbery in Ambamata, Nai and Ogana police stations. 12 police teams were formed to nab the accused. The 3 DSPs and 200 policemen, led by ASP Anant Kumar, managed to apprehend the accused by running a search operation for two days.

Udaipur SP Rajeev Pachar said that the three accused had come to Udaipur for a daily wage on 21 March. However, when the trio were returning home on their bikes after not getting wages, on the way they saw the young woman alone, their destiny deteriorated. While going towards Sundergarh via Surajgarh, the girl was found standing near Amli village. Talking to him on the pretext of asking the way, the woman was told to be retarded. Taking advantage of his mental retardation, he kidnapped him from the bike and after taking him to the forest, tied hands and feet in a deserted area among the hills, the three raped him in turn. When the woman protested, she also attacked her face with stones and then escaped from the spot.

Due to the retardation of the woman, the police was not getting enough information about the accused. In such a situation, 12 teams were formed in the police. The 3 DSPs and 200 policemen, led by ASP Anant Kumar, were given the responsibility to apprehend the accused. Being a forest area, the police team had to search for the accused through the old policing process. The police contacted all the liquor shops, petrol pumps, barber shops, rent shops and taxi drivers in the area who were around 18 to 30 years of age and questioned them. In this action, chief constables Manohar Singh, Ganesh, Dinesh and Rajendra have been specially contributed by Govardhan Vilas police station.
