Rajasthan Politics: Bhajanlal Sharma's cabinet has expanded in Rajasthan. A total of 22 new ministers have been included in the Bhajanlal cabinet. In the cabinet, 12 cabinet ministers, 5 MLAs have been made ministers of state with independent charge and 5 ministers of state. With this, the total number of ministers in Rajasthan has increased to 25, in which Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and his two deputies Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa had already taken oath as ministers. A glimpse of preparations for the upcoming elections has also been seen in the Bhajanlal cabinet. Every effort has been made to maintain caste equation in the cabinet.

Along with 12 OBC faces, 3 Scheduled Tribe MLAs have been made ministers in the cabinet, while two MLAs from the Scheduled Caste have also been included in the cabinet. Four MLAs from the general category and one from the Gurjar community have been made ministers. Surendra Pal Singh, MLA from Srikaranpur seat, who comes from the Sikh community, has also been made Minister of State with independent charge.

Place for 12 OBC faces in the cabinet

Out of 12 OBC ministers included in the cabinet, 6 leaders have been made cabinet ministers. These include the names of Jogaram Patel, Suresh Singh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Zoraram Kumawat, Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary and Sumit Godara. Two MLAs from OBC, Jhabar Singh Kharra and Hiralal Nagar, have been made Ministers of State (Independent Charge). Jawahar Singh Bedham, who comes from the most backward class Gurjar community, has also been made Minister of State.

Glimpse of general elections

A glimpse of general elections has been seen in the Bhajanlal cabinet expansion because the number of OBC voters in Rajasthan is about 55 percent. OBC voters are believed to have influence on almost every seat in the state. In such a situation, in the Bhajanlal Sharma cabinet, BJP has made every effort to woo the voters of OBC category. The issue of OBC reservation was also raised during the assembly elections. Just before the general elections, BJP has given a clear message to the opponents by making OBC MLAs ministers.

BJP has won 114 seats

Voting was held for 199 out of 200 seats in Rajasthan on 25 November. The election results were revealed on 3 December. In this, BJP returned to power by winning 114 seats. Whereas the Congress Party had to be content with 69 seats, the Bahujan Samajwadi Party was successful in winning two seats. After BJP's bumper victory, the party made Bhajanlal Sharma the new Chief Minister of the state on 15 December.

Bhajanlal himself comes from Brahmin community.

BJP has tried to woo Gurjars and Rajputs in Rajasthan. This is the reason why the BJP high command has made Bhajanlal Sharma the Chief Minister. Bhajanlal who comes from Brahmin community. BJP's strategy behind making a leader of the Brahmin community the Chief Minister was that it would anger neither the Gurjars nor the Rajput and Meena voters. Talking about the two Deputy CMs, Diya Kumari comes from Rajput community while Premchand Bairwa belongs to Dalit community. Overall, like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, BJP has tried its best to woo the voters of OBC as well as other communities in Rajasthan.
