Mukhtar Ansari / Mafia Mukhtar Ansari and Afzal convicted in gangster act, both sentenced

Mukhtar Ansari: Mafia Mukhtar's brother and Ghazipur Lok Sabha MP Afzal Ansari has been convicted in the Gangster Act. The court has sentenced him to 4 years. At the same time, Mukhtar has also been sentenced to 10 years by the court. Afzal Ansari was taken into custody by the police only after he was convicted by the court. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of one lakh on Afzal Ansari. On the other hand, the court has imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on Mukhtar.

Afzal will be made Lok Sabha MP

After this decision of the special MP-MLA court of Ghazipur, Lok Sabha MP from BSP Afzal Ansari may lose his seat. Please tell that the court has given this sentence in the case of 16 years old. While Afzal Ansari was present in the dock during the sentencing in the court, Mukhtar was presented through video conferencing from Banda Jail. Please tell that a case was registered against both of them in connection with the murder of BJP leader Krishnanand Rai.

In the year 2007, the Muhammadabad police had registered a case in the Bhanvarkol and Varanasi gang charts under the Gang Bandh Act. Afzal was still out on bail in this case. Charges were framed in this case on 23 September 2022 and the hearing was also completed on 1 April after the evidence from the prosecution side. After this the decision was to come on 15th April but later it was made to 29th April.
