The Bhajanlal government in Rajasthan has announced a significant administrative overhaul, transferring 34 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Wednesday. This extensive list includes the appointment of a new Jaipur Police Commissioner and several other high-ranking officials, aimed at strengthening law and order across the state.
In this major reshuffle, Sachin Mittal, previously ADG Personnel, has been appointed as the new Jaipur Police Commissioner. Biju George Joseph, the outgoing Jaipur Police Commissioner, will now serve as ADG Police Personnel. Sanjay Agarwal has been moved from DG Intelligence to DG Law and Order, and Govind Gupta has been named the new DG of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

Changes in Jail and SOG Departments
The Jail Department also sees changes, with Ashok Kumar Rathore appointed as DG Jail, while anand Srivastava has been given the charge of DG Special Operations Group (SOG) for the first time. Significant alterations have also occurred in the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and SOG, while vK Singh, who was previously ADG SOG-ATS and handled investigations into paper leak cases, has been transferred to ADG Law and Order. Dinesh MN has been assigned the crucial responsibility of ADG Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Jaipur.
Other Notable Transfers
Malini Agarwal has been appointed DG Home Guard, Prashakha Mathur retains her position as ADG Police Welfare, and Sushmit Biswas is posted as ADG Railways. Vishal Bansal is now ADG SOG, Hawa Singh Ghumaria is ADG Crime, and S. Sengathir is ADG Vigilance. Lata Manoj Kumar takes charge as ADG Civil Rights, Prafull Kumar as IG Intelligence, H. G. Raghavendra Suhasa as IG Jaipur Range, and Rahul Prakash as Special Commissioner (Operations), Jaipur. Dr, while ravi is IG Police Welfare, and Satyendra Kumar is IG ACB.
The state government believes these transfers will lead to more effective police administration and help maintain law and order, as well as control crime efficiently across Rajasthan.
