Corona in Rajasthan / Action will be taken with effective strategy for corona management in villages and towns also

Jaipur | Health Department principal secretary Akhil Arora issuing a circular has given detailed guidelines in regard to work out an effective strategy for prevention of corona infection in villages and towns in the State.

According to these guidelines, directions have been issued to ensure separate OPD facilities for probable COVID-19 patients at the block-level Community Health Centers  along with the facility of testing, referral transport for critical patients and arrangement of oxygen etc. He has directed the deployment of trained Medical Officer and paramedical staff at the Corona OPD.

After screening the probable corona patients through pulse oximeter and thermal scanner etc, action will be taken as per need for home isolation or institutional quarantine and test of the patient. Directions have been issued to make necessary arrangements for availability of oxygen and MMU or 10 ambulances for referral while transporting patients with respiratory problems to the concerned COVID Care Hospital.

Instructions have been given to form a three-member team of ASHA, ANM and Anganbari workers for area wise screening work in towns and rural areas. Two-three trained nursing personnel will also be included in the team for random sampling. A team will be formed for around five panchayats. It has been directed to provide vehicle, pulse oximeter and VTM for taking samples and other equipment to these teams for conducting screening in the rural areas.

Instructions have been given to the District Collectors and Chief Medical and Health Officers to regularly review the works being done in villages and towns.
