Bihar | Staying in a democracy, the rule cannot be run with sticks. The team probing the exploits of Patna's ADM KK Singh has given a report. During the demonstration by TET candidates at Dakbangla intersection on August 22, the investigation committee has convicted him in the case of beating a candidate with the tricolor in his hand by ADM Law and Order KK Singh. The inquiry committee has said that they used excessive force at the scene, which should not have happened.

Questioning the action of the ADM, the inquiry committee has said that when the student was demonstrating with the tricolor in his hand, he should not have been beaten up. He should have been arrested. The inquiry committee has submitted its report to District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh. After the report came, the DM has issued a show cause to the ADM.

DDC and SP City were in the investigation committee

After the incident, the District Magistrate constituted an inquiry committee. This included DDC and SP City of Patna. Apart from the TET candidates, the committee recorded separate statements of the police officer, magistrate and ADM. Most of the officers present at the spot have told the inquiry committee that the candidate with the tricolor in his hand had broken the barricading put up by the police. He was moving forward Seeing him, hundreds of candidates started moving towards the Raj Bhavan behind him. The ADM present on the spot tried to stop the law and order situation. During this, some of the candidates were pushed and thrashed by them. Seeing that nothing should happen to the ADM surrounded by the candidates, the police officers and magistrates present there also reached near the barricading. Enraged by this incident, the ADM started beating the candidate.

report on two points

The inquiry committee has given its view on two points. First, the ADM has been told not to use excessive force. Second, the report states that the candidate should not have been beaten up when he was holding the tricolor in his hand. He should have been arrested. However, in the statement given to the inquiry committee, the ADM has said that his intention was not to humiliate the tricolor. After the inquiry report is received, clarification has been sought from the ADM on behalf of the District Magistrate so that further action can be taken.
