New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti on Monday targeted the Modi government at the Center over the Varanasi's Gyanvapi Mosque dispute. The PDP leader said that the Center is doing politics to divert attention from the bigger issue like inflation and unemployment by raising the issue of mosque. He questioned that why do these people find God in mosques only?

In a press conference on Monday, he said that they are after all our mosques. First Babri and now Gyanvapi. He said that you (BJP) give us a list of those mosques which you have your eyes on. He asked if everything would be fine after Gyanvapi.

The former Chief Minister said that there is a need to change the atmosphere in the country as the distance is increasing. Hindu Muslims should live together. He said that there is anger among the people, but they are not protesting against it because people feel that if they protest then they will be booked.

Mehbooba Mufti said that 50 percent of the people in India come to see what was built here by the Mughal rulers and the remaining 50 percent come to see Kashmir, but BJP has completely ruined tourism. They have nothing left to give to the people.

Meanwhile, for the third consecutive day on Monday, the survey-videography work of the Gyanvapi mosque complex was completed amid tight security arrangements as per the order of the court. District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said that after surveying for more than two hours and 15 minutes on Monday, the commission constituted by the court completed its work.

After the videography work was done on Monday, Hindu petitioner in the case Sohan Lal Arya claimed that the commission had found Shivling in the premises during the survey. After the claim of getting Shivling, the court has issued orders to seal the place. The court ordered the District Magistrate that the place where the Shivling was found should be sealed with immediate effect and no person should be allowed to go there. On the other hand, the Muslim side has denied the claim of getting Shivling.
