Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan (also a doctor by profession) was recently seen discharging his duties as a medical practitioner on an Indigo Airlines flight. He helped another passenger on a flight from Delhi to Hyderabad complaining of restlessness.

A Twitter user, Ravi Chander Naik Mudavath, who was traveling in the same plane, tweeted, "Today I traveled in the same plane with Tamilisai Sundararajan. He treated a patient on a Delhi-Hyderabad flight who was ill in the mid-air. had fallen."

In the pictures posted by a Twitter user, Sundararajan can be seen treating the passenger. According to news agency PTI, the ailing passenger is a senior IPS officer of the rank of Additional Director General. 1994 batch officer Kripanand Tripathi Ujela told PTI, "Madam governor saved my life. He helped me like a mother."

A senior police officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre said, "When they measured my heart rate it was just 39. He advised me to bend forward and helped me relax, which made my breathing steady."

After deboarding the flight, Ujela was taken straight from the airport to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with dengue. His platelet count dropped to 14,000. "He gave a new life," he said of the governor.

Acknowledging the incident, IndiGo described Sundararajan as a 'superhero'. Sundararajan said he responded to the air-hostess's 'panic call'. He had asked if there was a doctor on the plane. He tweeted, "She got up to run backwards. Saw a passenger drenched in sweat. Showing signs of indigestion."
