Apple AirTag saves dog: Apple's AirTag helped rescuers save a dog that was lost in California floods. Seamus, a one-year-old Australian Shepherd, became separated from his owner during a walk and fell into a raging storm drain, reports MacRumors.

Seamus ran away from his owner after being swept into a flood control basin, but he eventually managed to get out through an access tube. The dog became trapped at the bottom of the tunnel after a drainage network carried him about a mile from his starting point.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department said on its Facebook page that both the Apple AirTag and the traditional ID tag "helped rescuers and owners track down and reunite the dog."

Dog rescue also happened in Florida

Last November it was reported that the tracking device helped a woman locate her dog in the state of Florida. Then an hour after the dog went missing, its owner Dennis came to know about it.

Then she realized she had attached an AirTag GPS tracker to the dog's collar and the dog was eventually tracked to an animal shelter, which was 20 minutes away from her home.
